no conflict is too small to be told
The Forgotten Wars project originated in May 2024 as a column on the news website "Real Clear - World," with the ambitious aim of shedding light on conflicts that mainstream media outlets often choose not to cover in depth. Currently, we leverage both technological resources and freelance professionals on the ground, which enables us to report on these realities through comprehensive and accessible information, while avoiding uncritical sensationalism and political bias.
In this context, the Forgotten Wars project aims to establish itself as a tool for analysis and in-depth understanding of the world around us: interpreting our century (and particularly the geopolitical reality) solely through the selective narrative of mainstream media is undoubtedly a limited and potentially dangerous approach.
That said, I would like to emphasize that the use of terms such as "mainstream" or "selective narrative" is in no way intended to align with sensationalist or (worse) conspiratorial theories regarding some phantom-like media control. Rather, it is simply a matter of acknowledging the power and inevitability of framing and agenda-setting mechanisms underlying media dynamics.
